SecureFusion vs. NMAP

SecureFusion has been proven to perform asset discovery more than 300 times faster than NMAP, an open source technology incorporated into many technology products. Speed is important because it allows for a full enterprise discovery process to occur frequently, so that inventory data is current and rogue technologies are quickly identified.

Performance Testing

Below are the average results of multiple performance tests of SecureFusion Asset Discovery. The test results were achieved using a single hardware appliance with Gideon Technologies’ standard specifications. The default bandwidth setting for SecureFusion Asset Discovery is 250Kbs, which typically eliminates any network impact. This was the setting used for the “Low-Bandwidth” speeds listed below.
