Management Team

The Gideon Technologies management team convenes a unique combination of expertise and experience in information security and technology, Fortune 100 consulting, the United States Military and new business start-ups.

Kenneth M. Halley – President and Chief Executive Officer

Ken is co-founder and CEO of Gideon Technologies and is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company. Ken possesses a rare combination of expertise across technology, business process and management. He has consulted many of the largest and most renowned companies in the world and is a frequent speaker at industry events.

Prior to founding Gideon Technologies, Ken was a leader in PricewaterhouseCoopers' global information security practice. He was directly responsible for leading a team of 25 security professionals in assessing, recommending, and delivering security solutions at many Fortune 200 companies. Ken also led several national initiatives for the firm in the area of information security awareness, and represented PricewaterhouseCoopers' global security practice before industry analysts and in relevant industry journals/publications.

Ken is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Jonathan W. Frazier – Chief Technology Officer

Jonathan is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Gideon Technologies. He is also the chief technical architect of the SecureFusion suite. Jonathan is a visionary in his field with an unmatched combination of technical prowess and analytical skills. His ability to apply innovative technologies to business problems has fueled numerous innovations since the company's inception. Prior to founding Gideon Technologies, Jonathan was a leader in PricewaterhouseCoopers' global information security practice. During his tenure, Jonathan consulted many Fortune 100 companies and was recognized as a national expert in network security, penetration testing and intrusion detection systems. Jonathan was the chief architect and leader of one of the world's largest intrusion detection implementations at a global company spanning more than 200 countries. Jonathan was frequently tapped to lead training efforts and develop training curriculum for the firm's national technical security training programs.

Jonathan also served as the Global IT Manager for Rapid Link Telecommunications, an IP Telephony start-up, where he deployed and managed the global IT infrastructure with offices in Germany, the Czech Republic and Japan.

Jonathan started his career as an officer in the U.S. Army. He separated from the military as a Captain after serving two tours of duty in Bosnia-Herzegovina and fulfilling his commitment with an honorable discharge. Jonathan is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee.

R. Lee Morris – Chief Financial Officer

Lee has more than 30 years of experience as a chief financial officer for several companies within the technology community. Throughout his career, Lee’s responsibilities have included all aspects of the financial, legal and human resource disciplines. He has also held several directorships.

Most recently Lee served as the Chief Financial Officer of FleetRisk Advisors LLC, Datatrac Corporation, Allure Fusion Media, Inc. and as Managing Director of EGL Holdings LLC, an Atlanta-based venture capital and corporate finance company. He served as director and CFO of The NetCommerce Company (Span2) and E3 Corporation (currently JDA Software, Inc.). Lee was also director of FormMaker Software, Inc. (currently DocuCorp International, Inc.). Previously, Lee served as CFO and director of American Technical Services Group, Inc., a leading systems provider and integrator of industrial process control systems. American Technical Services Group employs more than 600 software engineers, implementation personnel and technicians, and has been named an “INC 500”, “Fast Tech 50” and “Atlanta 100” company.

Lee began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers after graduating with honors from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, is a Charter Member of the Technology Executive Roundtable-CFO Forum, a member of the MIT Enterprise Forum, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who Among Rising Young Americans and Who’s Who Worldwide.

Derek Gant – Vice President of Client Services

Derek Gant is the Vice President of Client Services for Gideon Technologies. In this role he manages all sales, marketing and client services for the company. Prior to joining Gideon, Derek co-founded Trusted Network Technologies, a venture-backed identity, access management and network security company. There he served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development.

Derek also served as President of Engineering and Consulting, and held responsibility for worldwide profit and loss, for NetEffect Corporation, a venture-backed professional services firm with 450 employees and $30 million in revenue. Before NetEffect, Derek was Director of Commercial Operations for Cable and Wireless (OTC: CW) in Panama where he was a key member of the executive team responsible for the privatization of the local telephone company, INTEL. In this role, Derek managed more than 1,200 sales, customer service and installation and repair personnel and was responsible for six business units and more than $380 million in revenue. He was also responsible for the nationwide launch of frame relay services, an Internet ISP and state-of-the-art customer care centers.

Prior to Cable and Wireless, Derek worked for Scientific Atlanta (NYSE: SFA) as the Country Manager for Brazil where he created SA’s Brazilian subsidiary. Derek’s career began in sales with NEC Technologies and AT&T. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Georgia College and State University.
